Where We're Starting

Welcome to the journey that is ours--Haley and Kiyomi--as we let you follow along from the beginning. Currently, we are still at the beginning of what we hope is our writing career. Both of us have written separately and occasionally written together for fun for years; however, a couple of months ago, we decided to officially co-write and begin this journey on Wattpad and Google Docs. Having written together way back in middle school, we easily work together when writing. To write, we begin with creating our individual, main characters. Once we have our main characters that we each have rights to, we create a Google Doc for our book and begin writing. We take turns writing chapters and we will edit each other's grammar on the Google Doc. Additionally, we often talk over voice or video call as we write to discuss our plot decisions and where we want the storyline to go. Once a chapter is complete, we check with each other on whether or not we're both okay with the chapter and then publish one chapter at a time on our joint Wattpad account that we both manage. Currently, we have one book titled Wings with twelve chapters and can be read for free. We're highly invested in our writing and plan to continue writing together for a long time. Lastly, our current plans are to finish Wings (the first book of a series) and then find a publisher that we agree on to approach and hopefully convince to publish our book.
